Since 2000, My Sister’s Place shelter has been a beacon of hope and healing for women and their children experiencing homelessness, showering all who enter with God’s love.
Founded by Marty Owens, the dream was to open a shelter that would be a sanctuary for women and children caught in a desperate situation with no place to call home. Her goal was to demonstrate the love of God in such a way that hope would be restored to the women and children in her care. Today, My Sister’s Place has grown into a home where hundreds of women and children have received nutritious meals, clothing, transportation assistance, childcare assistance, life skills training, case management, and spiritual enrichment. Join us as we journey alongside our residents offering hope and comfort, along with the tools and resources necessary for them to reclaim their independence.
My Sister’s Place restores hope by encouraging faith in Christ, developing life skills, and providing a haven for women and children experiencing homelessness.
We want everyone who comes through our doors to realize they are loved and to know there is a God they can depend on who will always, always love them.
